Recently, an old friend sent this article to me (Thank you Hussain!). I found it interesting because it offers a profound insight into the mind of Mahatma Gandhi – a man who mesmerized European Christians during the first half of the last century with his Satyagraha (nonviolence) doctrine. For educated religious protestant Christians who had read and understood the similar teachings of Christ in the gospels (e.g. Matt 5:39) but could not come to grips as to how such an impractical theory be actually implemented in the real life, Gandhi surly put up a great show, inspired many thousands like Martin Luther King Jr. and came to be known as mahatma (Lit. Greatest Soul). Consider his opinion on the Jewish/Palestine question as it was emerging.
